Savannah arrival January 31, 2017

Today we drove from Beaufort, through Hilton Head Island and on to Savannah, Georgia. My first reaction is "what a beautiful city"! The city planner, Oglethorpe, designed 20+ park squares throughout the city. Every couple of blocks is another beautiful green space. It is stunning. We are staying near the largest park in the city, Forsyth. It spans a 6 block by 2 block space at the south end of the main downtown district. I love fountains and Forsyth has perhaps the greatest fountain I have come across. I took a photo but it really doesn't do it justice. There is water shooting out everywhere and in many directions.
